Our Ceremony Venue
As stated on on the main page, we will be getting married at Valparaiso University's Chapel of the Ressurrection. The University only allows couples to reserve the Chapel one year in advance of their wedding date, and requires couples to pre-submit an application to be married in the Chapel. Only after being approved are couples able to potentially reserve the Chapel. Those approved couples are then able to reserve the Chapel on a first-come first-serve basis one year prior to the first day of the month during which they will be married, and people often camp out overnight to ensure they get their date.
We were lucky enough to avoid having to take time off work to return to Valpo to camp out, as the individual who schedules such reservations left the university shortly before our reservation period. As a result, the University Pastor called us prior to the camp-out date and offered us our date!
For those unfamiliar with the Chapel, below are some pictures taken by Tom. These images illustrate the Chapel's beauty nicely, and show why so many couples are willing to jump through hoops to secure the venue!
